BC Hot House Chairman Al Vangelos Elected Russian Farm Project’s Chairman of the Board
Surrey, BC – June 3, 2004 – BC Hot House Foods Inc. today proudly announced that Chairman of the Board, Al Vangelos has been elected to a similar post with the Russian Farm Project. Mr. Vangelos brings an immense resume of agriculture industry experience to this new position.
“The Russian Farm Project is a great organization, with a wonderful mission to help develop the rural Russian farm community,” said Vangelos. “I am honored to be appointed Chairman of the Board. Mr. Vangelos takes the position familiar with the Russian Farm Project’s mandate. As indicated by Ralph Hofstad, Executive Director of Russian Farms, “Al understands our organization. Over the past number of years, he has guided the development of the organization’s produce distribution center located north of Moscow.” The facility processes beets, onions, carrots, potatoes, radishes and cabbage for retail and foodservice customers in Moscow under the “Treasure of the Sun” label. The project also includes a 600 cow dairy farm and a 2500 acre vegetable and forage farm.
